So far, thanks to moneys procured from the Art and Garden Tours. we have been able to undertake a lot. Projects have included restoration of a magnificent bronze Japanese urn for the Minneapolis Park Board, scholarships through the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association, sponsorship of Minnesota Public Radio, and garden partnerships with the Minnetonka Center for the Arts, The Museum of Russian Art, the city of Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Park Board, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and Department of Horticultural Science at the University of Minnesota and countless other charities and non-profits.

Future projects will include continued partnerships with former benefactors and the undertaking of new projects – with your continued support we will do our best to give back wherever we go, in whatever we do. As advocates of beauty, it is our hope that these public gifts financed by Tangletown Gardens and the Tangletown Gardens Art and Garden Tours will serve as inspiration to many in the years to come.

The last Saturday of every July, we host the Tangletown Gardens’ Garden and Art Tour. This self-guided annual tour features some of the Twin Cities’ best gardens, local art, and galleries. Wine tasting in the gardens is generously provided by Solo Vino of Saint Paul with other refreshments supplied by Tangletown Gardens. Proceeds from the tour help fund public art, charities, and garden projects throughout the Twin Cities’ area. Every year the event gains more recognition and has fostered a loyal following.

Mark your calendar! The 2010 Garden and Art Tour will be held Saturday July 31th, 9:00-4:00, rain or shine. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 the day of the tour and are available May through July at Tangletown Gardens.

Last year’s tour featured gardens in the Minneapolis neighborhoods of Lowry Hill, Kenwood, and a few closer to Tangletown. As always, local artists displayed their works in outdoor gallery spaces and guests enjoyed wine tasting courtesy of Solo Vino. The day proved to be a wonderful success and by day’s end nearly 1600 guests had taken in this worthwhile event.
